What is Team Hexham?

Team Hexham is a Volunteer Hub, designed by Hexham Community Partnership, to match volunteer opportunities from community groups and employers in Hexham with the skills and aspirations of those with time to give. 

Our aim is to broaden the appeal of volunteering and the Team Hexham Volunteer Hub is at the heart of the project. We know from experience that volunteering offers many benefits including mental and physical wellbeing; the rewards of mentoring; the social aspects of spending time with like-minded people; increased employability; giving back to the local community and gaining new skills to name but a few.

We will encourage local organisations with opportunities to register with the site and upload a description of the project/task. These opportunities can then be browsed by anyone interested in volunteering their time and contact would be made directly between the volunteer and organisation, via a messaging function on the website. We’ll make the introductions, then you deal directly with the organisation.

We hope the hub will offer a wide range of opportunities for the people of Hexham to get involved in helping others and themselves and to enjoy all the benefits that brings.
