Role description
Community
VoluntEARS are the ‘eyes and ears’ of communities, be those physical or virtual. VoluntEARS alert us to the emerging issues that people are having with
health and care services, both what’s going well and what could be done better.
They do this by having conversations with other people, by seeing feedback on
social media, or by being involved with community organisations.
VoluntEARS also help distribute our information to venues such as community groups, GP surgeries, community halls, local shops etc.
Here are some of the ways you could benefit from volunteering with us:
- Meet new people and have fun
- Develop new skills and experiences
- Be involved in something positive…
…and make a difference!
Desired Qualities
You need to be polite and happy to talk to people on the phone or via social media. A good knowledge of your local community would be very helpful for this role.
How your time will help our organisation
VoluntEARS alert us to the emerging issues that people are having with health and care services, both what’s going well and what could be done better.
Practical Considerations
You will be invited to enrol on an e-learning induction module, which takes approximately 30 minutes complete. You will also receive role specific training, which will include support from an experienced member of our engagement team.
