-Role description
Arriving at 10.15, we will warmly welcome you. You will join us for a guided tour, followed by refreshments and the opportunity to meet Stewards who already volunteer for us to find out all about the role.
Potential stewards and guides can take a tour of the bell
tower at 12 noon to see where the bells are rung and to learn more about the Abbey’s
bells. If anyone is interested in becoming a bellringer there will be a chance
to talk about this too, though there will be a wait of 3-6 months, as a number
of new recruits are currently being trained.”
Come along and join us to find out how rewarding volunteering is at Hexham Abbey.
