About Oxfam
Oxfam is a global organization working towards a future without poverty. Here in Hexham we have 2 shops on Battle Hill. The Bookshop and the general Oxfam shop. We have a friendly team of volunteers who keep our shops open by giving up a few hours of their time. Some volunteers have been with us for over 20 years but others have joined in the past year. We also have young people over 14 years of age who volunteer after school or as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award.
