About Tynedale Hospice at Home
The majority of people would choose to receive care in their own home and avoid unwanted admissions to hospital in the final stage of their life. Our unique service means that people can remain in familiar surroundings in the comfort of their own home. We create a personalised care journey which extends to bereavement support for families, carers and children.
As a registered charity, Tynedale Hospice at Home relies on over 90% of its income from charitable donations, grants and income from its shops. Thanks to our community we are able to deliver care services free of charge:
- Specialised end-of-life nursing care and support to patients in their own home
- Patient transport services
- Complimentary therapies
- Bereavement counselling and support for children and adults
The charity covers an 800 sq. mile radius across Tynedale, Ponteland and West Northumberland, much of which is rural.
