Role description

This role is a Talking Newspaper reader, 2 to 3 hours, every 2 months, on Thursdays starting at 4.00pm, joining a reading team (the TTN has 8 teams), playing a part in recording the week's Courant articles, then duplicating on memory sticks (ready for Freepost to blind and partially sighted people across Tynedale) PLUS an annual activity organising the TTN's annual flag day in Hexham, with much help from other TTN supporters, in the 6 weeks running up to a (usually May) flag day date.

Desired Qualities

Clear and confident reading voice - local accent optional - and sociable team member.

Reading/recording to help blind or partially sighted people to stay in touch with community news.

Practical Considerations

Travel to the TORCH Centre, next to the new Hexham bus station.
